Here at work, I sit right next to a window. Our offices are on the “garden” level (it’s a half-basement-type thing) and my window is just about even with the ground level. Across the road, I can see the local elementary school, and in the distance Pike’s Peak. I *love* that I can sit here and work and watch the world go by. Today was an especially exciting day in my little window-watching world and I wanted to share it with y’all…
This morning I was sitting here and all of a sudden a fox darted past my window, not three feet away. It was trotting along with a rabbit in its mouth. Later, I got to watch the kids in the school playing out on the playground. After lunch, I was able to watch a storm come over Pike’s Peak. The clouds rolled in, and eventually I could no longer see the Peak. Soon after, it started to sprinkle, then it started to pour, and the next thing I knew it was hailing. The hail arrived just as the kids at the school were loading the busses. It was *so* funny to watch the kids making a run for their busses. And now as I’m about to head home, yet *another* storm is coming over the Peak. We’re supposed to maybe get a bit of snow tonight. Crazy, I know, but that’s Colorado for ya…
