Almost Never Boring…

and often easily amused

I’ve been tagged… 27 November 2007

My cousin tagged me with this MEME, so here it goes. The instructions were to come up with words using the letters of my middle name that describe me.

J – jovial… endowed with or characterized by a hearty, joyous humor or a spirit of good-fellowship…  People tell me I have a great sense of humor, and I always enjoy sharing a funny story and being able to make others laugh…

E – easy-going…  I’m a pretty “go with the flow”-type person…  I take most things – both good and bad – in stride, and it really takes a lot to rattle me…

A – articulate…  Speaking in front of groups doesn’t bother me, and I’ve been told on several occasions that I express myself well, and that I excel at explaining complicated topics in easy-to-understand terms…

N – nit-picky…  I have a tendency to be very exacting about certain things…  Sometimes this comes in quite handy – like at work where I *have* to be – but other times it can be overwhelming to others…  I’m not as bad about this as I used to be, though…

I’m supposed to tag as many people as there are letters in my middle name…  I tag Joanna, KatherineVickie, and Amy (whose blog most certainly needs an update).

A wise young man… 19 November 2007

A friend of mine sent this to me…  It’s an audio clip of a 13 y/o boy from a small town in Nebraska, who called in to a Christian radio station morning show to talk to the hosts about what he had learned when he had to put down a calf.  Readers of the female persuasion might want to pull out a kleenex or two before hitting play…

Randomness… 10 November 2007

So… I apparently have an uncanny knack for random run-ins…  A few weeks ago when I was in OK, I went to church with my friend Marty on Sunday morning.  While there, I ran into some friends who I used to attend church with here in CO who moved to AR about six months ago.  That’s right, I live in CO, they live in AR and we ran into each other in OK.  Small world…  Run-ins at church happen to me a lot, though…  I think a lot of it has to do with attending a private, Christian university

HOWEVER, just this morning while at the airport checking in for my flight (I’m flying to Charleston, SC for work), I ran into some folks who I house-sit for.  What’s even funnier, I still had their key from when I house-sat for them a couple weeks ago, and they still owed me $$.  I had been trying to get in touch with them, but was unable to and they apparently never received my messages.  I was able to give them their key and they paid me for house-sitting.  How random!
